In Lesson 1, you learned which test materials must be returned to POST after the test session. It is also important for a Proctor to follow the correct procedure for preparing and shipping those test materials to POST, according to POST return shipment procedures.
The POST return shipment procedures consist of 8 key steps which help prevent damage to the test materials during shipment. This is important because damaged forms cannot be scanned. Additionally, these steps help the Proctor include all the important information to inform POST how the agency wants the results reported and the score package returned.
Failure to follow the POST return shipment procedures can cause a delay in scanning, scoring, and reporting test scores. The POST return shipment procedures are listed in the POST Proctor Instructions Narrative in the Resources section.
