About us

What is World-Voices Organization?

The World-Voices Organization (WoVO) is a non-profit, member-driven international association of voice actors that seeks to educate members about the essentials of voice over performance skills, maintaining high industry standards, and operating a private studio. World-Voices Organization provides mentoring to voice talent across a spectrum of techniques and recording skills, engaging membership in a meaningful community, and ensuring proficient and uniform standards for the practicing voice acting professional.

Diversity and Inclusion

A core value of World-Voices Organization is that our strength lies in our diversity and inclusion. We are committed to the broadest involvement of our members regardless of gender, race, age, religious beliefs, disability, nationality, sexual orientation and identification, or union status. World-Voices Organization strives to educate and engage members so that they may be full participants in the workings of their organization. We are proud to be a model of inclusion, democratic organization, transparency and governance.

Educating, Promoting and Encouraging

The main purpose of WoVO is to “educate, promote and encourage” voice talent all over the globe. When you apply for membership you will be joining an organization designed to serve you by listening to you, and providing what you want the organization to provide. Feel free to look around our website to see all the great things we have done so far, such as establishing “best practices” documents for voice talent, producers and coaches; developing our mentoring program, and many, many other exciting benefits.

The World Voices Organization aims to benefit not only you and your career, but the entire independent voice over artist community and industry as a whole.

Through chapters and national programs, WoVO works to:

  • Inform and educate: about best practices, standards for ethical conduct and professional expertise
  • Communicate voice acting’s importance to the public and business leaders about the power of professional quality voicing and recording.
  • Inspire through articles, portfolios and recognition of achievement and excellence.
  • Represent the profession through a network of chapters and independent professionals.
  • Stimulate discussion of the industry through events, social media and websites
  • Provide resources for mentoring and improving your professional skill and stature.

We’re committed to professional Voice Over—and to our members who create, inspire and raise the level of excellence in our profession. WoVO’s members are the lifeblood of the organization.

Welcome! We are excited for our future, and your part in it. We look forward to your participation in this vital growing organization.

Membership Levels

You can get involved in this wonderful organization by becoming a member. There are 2 tiers of membership: Associate and Professional.

An Associate member is one who is not quite a working voice talent yet, or is someone with an interest in the voice over industry.

A Professional member is a working professional in the voice over field. To qualify as a Professional, applicants must demonstrate a voice over industry involvement by submitting examples of five paid voice jobs within the last 13 months, not completed for a member of your family.

When you apply for membership by completing the application in its entirety, the Membership Committee will examine your application and verify your information. A payment of $74 is required on the first year of membership ($49 for the first year dues and a non-refundable one-time $25 to cover the vetting process), and every subsequent year a renewal fee of $49 will be required to maintain your membership status.

The membership committee will notify you in writing after the vetting process is complete, and again when you have been voted into the organization by the Executive Board. You will receive your member number and logo at that time via email.

We invite you to join this great worldwide voice over organization! You have a voice, and we want to hear from you!
